This is the 3/4 Century mark for Greeley and the 75th Birthday bash will have  many new and exciting things, sounds, sights, food and fun, and YOU are invited!  It is also an invitation to come with stories, pictures, movies and good cheer about Greeley for a Bio Documentary Film, being made about him and his life.
The party will go on, and the idea is that each person will have an opportunity to sit down with Greeley and visit.  Additionally, each will be asked to sit with an interviewer and talk about Greeley without him being present!  There  will be cameras and sound as this is for a movie.   You’ll be a part of the movie on him.   So don’t be shy come charged and have fun.

We will post more information here, as we get closer to the event day.
email if you need the address, map/directions or have any other questions.

Greeley’s latest Film: NUDE

In September 2016, my latest film, titled NUDE, was selected to be part of a Film Festival that was held In Big Bear Lake, California.
Then it won the Audience Choice award for Best Documentary Short. It was very exciting and rather personally rewarding to be selected by the audience, which was made up primarily of Filmmakers themselves.cgiff2016winner-768x478

In case you missed the Premier showings, you can watch the 18 minute film here.
** imagine that you are sitting in a dimly lit theater, with other film goers, before pushing the PLAY button.  Watch it till the end and then please comment below.
(I do indeed read all the comments on this blog.)

Hat Attack!

One of the things I’ve learned in my decades of walking around outside, is that I really like my hat. Ive tried other types and styles, many times over the years, and my truth is… I like this type:

Hey LOOK! — > I’m on TikTok

In my ongoing quest to SHARE the beautiful things that I see, I’ve started to use TikTok.
Its an interesting exercise to try and fit some of my Long-form nature videos, into the realm of 15 second videos. And I am happy to try and bring some calm, peace and beauty to that fast paced world.

Home town Annular Solar Eclipse

Hi Friends,

I’m sure that most of you know about this.  But there may be a few who just don’t know about this wonderful opportunity happening next weekend.  I’m going to Carter Lake to watch and film it.  It’s coming Saturday the 14th of October, 9 AM :  NEXT SATURDAY!!!!!!

Medford is on the edge of it so you can see a bit of it or move east and north to see it more fully.  There will be traffic because a lot of folks do know about it.

The right hand photo below shows what it will look like from the center look at it.  You will need serious eye protection, they are very available around town, the sun is dangerous to look at.

Didn’t want anyone to miss it if they didn’t know about it.

Here’s probably most all you need to know: click below!

Wishing you all the best.

love n hugs,

greeley

I was invited to be a guest on a Radio show

KSKQ

Those are radio call letters.  I start with them because I just put a half hour on their air and on their web.   I was a guest on Theresa & Ted’s “Culture Corner” conversations.
You can go to www.culturecorner2020.com/audio-archives to hear it any time now.
It was billed as: EPISODE 29: 03/16/2019 … Greeley Wells (local ART/FILM/POETRY)

This was a first for me and a lot of fun.  All seemed to flow very nicely and with humor and creativity.  Probably the most public I’ve been with my poems ever and I was glad for the opportunity.  Poetry is a part of my life I don’t talk much about.  It’s been sort of private and occasional.   In the last few years I’ve come out with them a bit more with a monthly poetry reading with six like minded souls as we read together at each others houses.  It’s been very informative and entertaining and helped me grow and become more public about this creative side of me almost no one knows about.

If you’ll listen you’ll find out about the many films I’ve produced and some new ones about to see the light of day, or a dark theatre.    I am proud to announce that I have a film in the 18th annual Ashland Independent Film Festival.  The wonderful film is called Saving Wellington.  It’s about our beloved Applegate and a central wild area that needs to be protected.  There are two showings Thursday, April 11th at 3:40p, and Saturday, April 13, 9:20p at the Ashland Street Cinema.

So slip into www.culturecorner2020.com for a little half hour dose of Greeley.

It is going to be so nice to be able to sit and visit with my friends at my upcoming birthday party. I am so excited!

Sometimes we will record those discussions in order to use pieces in ongoing film projects we have in production.

This time my party is ONLINE. Kinda weird for a forest dweller like me. Especially after the past BIG parties we’ve had!

Sept 9-12, each day will have a few hours where YOU can join in the circle of friends to discuss all manner of things. I’ll show you some of my new little movies. Short films that I’m working on. Then I’d like to hear your impressions, feedback and additions. We will record some of those sessions, to be able to utilize your comments in future film projects. Pretty Fun, Huh?

— The online event is scheduled for Sept 9-12, 4p to 8p (pacific)–

Each of the four days, we will be on our Zoom call for approx. 4 hours.

Special musical guests have some very exciting and unique spotlights and several artist friends will have virtual art galleries that we can peruse and discuss. We’ve tried to create an online event that is super simple and gives us the similar feel of “Hangin’ Out” together. But without it getting boring. I think this is gonna work great!

If you’d like to join in on the Zoom call, fill in the easy form below and… VIOLA! you’ll get emails that get you on!
ps We PROMISE to not sell or otherwise abuse your email address.

PLEASE RSVP HERE!

I'd like to attend!(required)
